Why are we moving to Taylor Park?

Currently, we have fields at both the Cornwell and Ranchwood locations.

This season we have over 90 teams, over 900 players, and over 600 games and scrimmages per season. We also have at least one camp and coaches clinic per season.

Cornwell is for sell by the private owner and we are quickly outgrowing Ranchwood. With the growth of our program and the growth of our community we anticipate even more need.

The Taylor Park plan has field space marked for soccer and pending approval by the City Council will give us the space to use for our complex.

When do we plan to move?

Our goal, and yes we know it is ambitious, is to be moved and playing at Taylor Park Soccer Complex by Fall, 2011 season.

Concessions and restrooms?

We are working together with Southwest Covenant School and the Spirit League to join our resources to build a bathroom and concession building with a 2nd story meeting room. The concession area will be located in a common area where are groups can use it.

What about Ranchwood fields? Cornwell fields?

We are requesting from the City that the Yukon Soccer Club be allowed to continue using Ranchwood Fields. The fields will be designated as practice fields and also set up to serve as 2 additional full size fields (giving us the 10 full size fields required to hold a sanctioned tournament in the future). The Cornwell fields are privately owned and have been for sale for some time. We'll wait and see the status of that location when we get closer.

Lights? Fence?

Yes, we'd like to light as many of the fields as we can. We plan to fence the complex so we can control field access to maintain the best playing surface for our teams.
