Taylor Park Soccer Complex Status
Monday, March 29th - 1st Taylor Park Committee meeting. Sunday, April 18th - 2nd Taylor Park Planning Committee has had 2 meetings. We still welcome anyone who would like to help out. Our meetings are on the 2nd Sunday of the month, 7:00 PM at Mazzio's in Yukon. Come even if you can only help a little. March & April - Board members met with the City Manager and Parks and Recreation department at Taylor Park multiple times to discuss our plans. Tuesday, April 6th - 3 board members attended the Yukon City Council meeting. Wednesday, April 21st - 4 board members attended both the Yukon Athletic Foundation meeting and the Parks and Recreation meeting. We presented our suggested revisions to the Taylor Park map. Both groups recommended that our changes be accepted by the City Council pending recommendations on drainage, etc. See our presentation here. Tuesday, May 4 - 3 board members met with the city engineer to work on a drainage plan. Tuesday, May 4 - 5 representatives attended the City Council meeting to show support for Yukon Soccer Club and Taylor Park. Tuesday, May 19 - Yukon Athletic Foundation meeting to update status |
